Combine water, vinegar, sugar, soy sauce. Cook over med heat until it comes to a boil, lower temperature and simmer for 2 minutes.
(or put in microsoft container and cook on high for 1 minute)

Stir water and cornstarch together. Stir into pan and cook until smooth. (Or stir into microwave container and micro for 1 minute.)

Remove from heat and add ginger.
|

|
NOTE- I just use a jar of prepared ginger. We like this on top of ahi tuna seared medium rare. For two med ahi tuna steaks, one half of the recipe is plenty. We spoon sauce on top of the tuna, and garnish with toasted black and tan sesame seeds.
