Brown beef and onion. Drain grease. Line the bottom of 9x11 cake pan with the cooked meat. Top with tater tots and cheese. In a separate bowl, empty can of soup and stir to cream, gradually add water or milk stirring to keep creamy consistency. Pour over 9x11 pan mixture. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. (A can of peas, green beans or corn can also be added to this casserole with the tater tots and cheese.)
