Combine pretzels, butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Press into 13x9 pan.
Bake at 400 for 7 minutes. Cool then break apart.
Beat cream cheese and remaining sugar until creamy. Fold in
pineapple and cool whip; chill until serving. Pretzels can be mixed
in or served on the side (serving on the side keeps them from going
soft).
