In medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg; set aside.

With mixer cream butter and sugar in large bowl. Add pumpkin, egg and vanilla; beat until light and creamy. Add dry ingredients; mix well.

|
Drop by rounded tablespoon onto greased cookie sheets. Smooth tops of cookies.
|
|
|
Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until light brown.
