2/3 cup shortening

2 2/3 cups sugar

16 oz. pumpkin

1/2 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. cloves

2/3 cup chopped nuts

Instructions |
|
|
Heat oven to 350F. Grease two bread loaf pans. In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugar until fluffy. Stir in eggs, pumpkin and water.
|

Blend in flour, soda, salt, powder, cinnamon and cloves. Stir in nuts.
|
|
|
Pour in pans. Bake about 70 minutes or until toothpick is clean.
