     Chocolate Surprise Cookies

Mix together and sift- 1 3/4 cup flour 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 cup cocoa
in a bowl mix well- 1/2 cup soft shortening 1 cup sugar 1 unbeaten egg 2 tsp vanilla
Alternate dry ingredients with 1/2 cup milk. Drop by tsp. on greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 mins at 375. Remove from oven and press 1/2 of a large marshmellow in center of each. Return to oven. Bake 4 mins more or until done and marshmellows are soft. When cool, frost...
Frosting- Stir together 2 cups confectioners sugar (sifted) 2 cups cocoa 4-6 Tbsp hot milk (mix until of spreading consistency)
