     (OZ) DAD'S CLAM CHOWDER

Ingredients
3 cups WATER
1 cup whole MILK
4-8 oz. CLAM JUICE (if available)
2 ten-ounce cans whole CLAMS w/ LIQUID
3 med. POTATOES - cubed
1 sm. WHITE ONION - chopped
1 sm. stalk CELERY - sliced thin
12 crumbled SALTINES
3 CHICKEN BOUILLON CUBES
 
2 Tbl. sized chunk of real BUTTER
coarse BLACK PEPPER
GARLIC POWDER
SALT
PARSLEY

Instructions
Boil bouillon in water until dissolved. Cut onion and potato into sizable chunks (not diced). Add veggies and cook until potatoes are done. Stir occassionally.
Add clams (with liquid), bottled clam juice, saltines, milk, and butter. Stir until butter is melted.
Taste. Add seasonings and adjust to taste.
(Optional) sprinkle individual servings w/ Parsley
Serving Suggestions
Serve with a salad (do not use a creamy dressing) and fresh-baked Pillsbury breadsticks.
