Preheat oven to 375 and grease cast iron skillet (or round pan if
skillet is not an option) Mix cornmeal, flour, and salt in one bowl;
buttermilk and baking soda in another.
Melt butter and stir in sugar. Add eggs and beat until well blended.
Add buttermilk mixture, and then slowly add flour mixture until well
blended with minimal lumps. Pour into skillet.
Bake for 30-45 minutes until golden on top and toothpick comes
out clean.
