Peel and thinly slice cucumbers. Place in a bowl and add chopped onions, salt and pepper to taste. Cover with 1/4 cup of vinegar and water. Cover mixture and place in refrigerator over-night.
Drain vinegar and water mixture. Pour cream over top and mix, add salt and pepper to taste.
