     Indian Fry Bread (New Mexico)

Ingredients
2 cups flour
4 Tbl powdered milk
1 tsp salt
lukewarm water
shortening
 

Instructions
Combine flour, milk, and salt. Add enough lukewarm water to make a soft dough. Divide dough in half and pat out until it is about 1/4 inch thick.
Fry in large frying pan in about an inch of hot lard (or vegetable shortening). Brown on both sides. Drain.
Serving Suggestions
Serve warm with honey or jelly.
