     Basic Gravy

Ingredients
Oil, shortening, fat, etc...
All Purpose Flour
Water
A Wisk to stir
 

Instructions
Heat oil in saucepan. Add flour and stir a bit.
Begin to add water, little bits at the time. Stir constantly, or you will have chunks.
Keep adding water and stirring until you get to the consistency you wish. Remember, as the gravy cooks, it will get a bit thicker.
Serving Suggestions
Use sausage drippings for sausage gravy, add sausage and simmer. Use oil you fried liver and onions in, add liver and onions and simmer.
