     Chocolate-Oatmeal Bars

Ingredients
1/2 cup plus 1 tbs. margarine
3/4 cup white sugar
1 1/3 cups rolled oats
1 1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate bits
1/2 cup of light cream
 
Instructions
Mix the margarine, sugar, rolled oats, flour and salt, until they are crumble consistency.
Press 2/3 mixture in bottom of 8 x 8 pan. Do not grease pan.
Melt in double boiler chocolate bits with the cream. Pour over mixture and spread remainder of crumbs on top. Press down.
Nuts may be used if desired. Bake at 30 min @ 350 degrees.
