     Butter Cake

Ingredients
1 3/4 cup flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt (opt.)
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 - 1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 or 3/4 cup milk
3/4 cup broken nuts
 
coconut

Instructions
Cream the butter. Add the sugar and cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well.
Add flour alternately with milk. Beat until smooth after each addition. Batter should fall in ribbon like fold from bowl.
Cook at 350 degrees in a 8x8 pan for 40 minutes or until done
Frost and add 3/4 cup broken nuts and coconut
