     Easy beef steak and mushroom pie

Ingredients
1kg Inch cubes of beef (steak)
2 large carrots, chopped
2 cans of mushrooms
1 large onion
a few cloves garlic
1 bay leave
stock or water
plain flour
corn flour
 
Puff pastry, or an other frozen pastry.

Instructions
TMake sure your pastry is defrosted. Heat some oil. Coat the beef in plain flour and brown in a pot. Do in batches until all are browned and the bottom of the pot is messy.
If no more oil, add a touch more, then add the onions and garlic and fry until soft. Return all the beef, chopped carrots and mushroom into the pot. Add stock or water until 3/4 covering the content. Use a wooden spatula to make sure all the bottom bits of the pan is mixed in. Bring to boil, then simmer until beef is tender (depending on the cut of beef, may take up to an hour or more) with lid on. In the mean
Mix a large table spoon of corn flour with some water and add to the pot to thicken the gravy. Pour into your final pot. Roll out the pastry and cover. Oven bake as per the pasrtu instructions.k
