     Pizza Sauce

1 tsp. olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 c. Cabernet Sauvingnon
28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
2 Tbsp. fresh flat leaf parsley, chopped
1/2 tsp. kosher salt
1/2 tsp. fresh ground black pepper

Heat oil in a large skillet. Add onion and saute over medium heat until tender, about five minutes.
Add garlic and cook for an additional minute. Increase heat to high and add wine to de-glaze skillet. Allow almost all the liquid to evaporate.
Add the tomatoes, parsley, salt and pepper then reduce heat to low and allow sauce to simmer for 30 minutes.
Serving Suggestions
Serve on pizza crust with your favorite healthy toppings.
