     Meatballs with Sauerkraut

Ingredients
2 lbs. ground beef
1 cup fine bread crumbs
1 pkg. onion soup mix
3 eggs
1 (12 oz.) bottle chili sauce
1 (12 oz.) bottle water
1 (16 oz.) can sauerkraut (rinsed & drained)
1 (16 oz.) can whole cranberry sauce
1 cup light brown sugar
 

Instructions
Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, soup mix and eggs and form into small balls.
Mix chili sauce, water, sauerkraut, cranberry sauce and brown sugar and pour a layer into a large casserole. Add meatballs then the remaining sauce mixture. Bake uncovered in a 350° oven for about 2 hours. Serve for dinner along with mashed potatoes.
