Make a cream sauce, melt shortening and blend flour. Add milk gradually, cook over low heat till smooth and thick. Add chcken. Spread in shallow pan. Chil and shape into logs, lightly beat egg. Dip into eggs then bread crumbs. Fry in deep fat 5 minutes.
