2 cups Red Lentils
|
|
1 large white onion, diced
|

1 tbs olive oil
|

3 tbs curry powder
|
|
1 tsp tumeric
|

1 tsp cumin
|

1 tsp cayenne pepper
|

1 tsp salt
|
|
1 tsp sugar
|
|

2 garlic cloves, crushed
|
|
1 tsp ginger powder
|

4 tomatoes, chopped
|
|
2 cups water

Instructions |
|
|
Wash the lentils under cold running water until
clear.
|
|
|
Brown the onions in the oil. Then add the spices,
stirring for 2 minutes.
|

|
Add the tomatoes, and cook for 5 minutes.
|
|
|
Add the lentils and water, cooking until lentils are soft. If the
mixture begins to dry out, add additional water.
