     Italian Beef

Ingredients
5 lbs chuck or rump roast
1/2 tspn garlic
1 1/2 Tbspn oregano
1 1/2 Tbspn salt
2 Tbspn basil
1 bay leaf
1/2 tspn ground cayenne
2 to 3 cups water
3 beef bouillon cubes
 
5 to 6 pepperoncini salad peppers

Instructions
Combine all ingredients in crock pot and cook for 5 hours on high, then 4 hours on low.
Remove from crock pot and shred meat with a fork. You can then return the shredded meat to the crock pot in order to keep it warm and moist.
Serve on rolls and with cheese, if desired. May also serve with sautéed mushrooms, onions and/or peppers.
