Phone rings...Oh yes, you are coming soon? Great! Can't wait. OK better run down fast to the Taravel Safeway and buy lots of bread, lots of butter and cheese too. OK, fire up the shell. Get it ready. Here comes the crew!
Butter up outside of the bread...the lots of bread. Slice the cheese in the slicer...the lots of cheese. Put a generous slice or so of cheese between buttered bread. Place in shell sandwich maker until a perfect golden brown. Repeat and repeat and repeat...there will be many orders for seconds, for sure.
Go to the basement. There's Calastoga lemonade, plenty of it, sitting on the ping-pong table. If you are older, there will be Rainier Ale...room temperature. Either goes great with shell sandwiches. (Eskimo pies in the basement freezer if you have room for dessert.)
Devour your shell sandwiches and forever recall the love and wonderful times spent in the kitchen at 15 Montalvo Avenue. But save a little room...dinner will be served at 6-00pm sharp. You know, right after the news. You can count on it.
