Combine molasses, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper and 1/4 c soy sauce in small bowl and mix to combine and form marinade.
Place ribs in baking dishes or roasting pan in even layer, using multiple dishes if needed. Rub all sides of ribs generously with marinade. Cover ribs tightly with foil, sealing completely and bake @ 375F 40 - 45 min., until ribs are cooked through.
While ribs bake, in medium sauce pan, combine 1 1/4 c soy sauce/tamari, pineapple juice, rice vinegar, hoisin sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, ginger root, garlic and onion. Stir well to combine and bring to boil over medium-high heat. Cover pot and reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 15 min. Remove lid and simmer, uncovered, 10 min. Remove from heat and let sit.
When ribs have completed baking time, remove foil covers, reserving foil. Let cool 10 minutes. Remove ribs from baking dishes and place on reserved foil on baking sheets. Brush generously with sauce and place under high heat broiler for 5 - 8 minutes, until ribs are browned/caramelized. Remove from broiler.
