Ingredients
2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup sugar
2 cups sifted all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. table salt
2 cups whole raw cranberries
3 Tbsp. butter
1 cup milk

Butter Cream Sauce-
1/2 cup(4 oz) butter
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup light or heavy cream
whipped cream

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F. Butter an 11 x 7 inch or 8 x 8 inch baking dish. Rinse and sort cranberries, discarding soft ones. Sift together dry ingredients(through salt) into a bowl. In a small saucepan, heat milk and butter over medium heat. When butter is melted, pour into bowl containing the dry ingredients and mix well. Add cranberries and mix gently so as not to crush the cranberries.
Pour mixture into baking dish and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown on top. Test with a toothpick in center for doneness. Cut into squares and spoon Butter Cream Sauce over top. Top with whipped cream, if desired.
Butter Cream Sauce- In a small saucepan, combine butter, sugar and cream. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until it comes to a boil. Reduce heat, continue stirring and boil for 3 minutes.
Serving Suggestions
Also good served cold with the warmed sauce. Never seem to have enough sauce!
