     Strawberry Shortcake

Ingredients
2 C flour
1/4 C sugar
3 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
6 T cold butter
1/3 c milk
1/3 c sour cream
 

Instructions
Put flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in large bowl and stir. Cut in butter with pastry cutter ( or use cuisinart ) until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Stir milk and sour cream together in small bowl add to butter mixture and blend just until you can form a ball of dough.
Turn dough unto floured board and knead lightly. Pat or roll dough to thickness of 3/4 inch and cut with a 2 inch round biscuit cutter to make ten cakes. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 450 for about 12 minutes. Remove and split, fill will strawberries place on lid and add more strawberries. Top with whipped cream.
Rinse quart of strawberries, crush half of them and slice half. Add enough sugar to sweeten to your taste. Do ahead so strawberries blend well with sugar and make extra juice
