Soak sugar and sour cream while mixing other ingredients. Mix butter and dry ingredients like pie crust. Add eggs and vanilla to sour cream/sugar mix, then pour into dry ingredients and mix well. Roll out on floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness and cut out cookies. Place on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Dont over bake! Immediately top with frosting.

Combine butter, lemon juice, vanilla, and sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Add more sugar or lemon juice to adjust the consistency as needed.
