2-16 oz cans yams, drained

1/4 c melted butter
|

1/2 c light brown sugar
|
|
1/2 c dark corn syrup
|

2 TBSP dry sherry
|

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp salt

|
2 Granny Smith apples, peeled and thinly sliced
|

Instructions |
|
|
Puree yams, 2 TBSP butter, sugar, syrup, sherry,
cinnamon and salt.
|
|
|
Spread into a pie dish.
|
|
|
Cover with a layer of apple, brush with melted
butter, repeat layers.
|
|
|
Bake at 350 for 35 mins.
|
