Boil Water. Chop and or cut dates into fine pieces. Put into medium size bowl. Pour 1/2 cup boiling water over chopped dates. Stir in the brown sugar, flour, and nuts. Pour the date mixture onto the bottom crust. Then put the 2nd half reserved crust topping onto date mixture and press down firmly. Bake for 30 minutes or until top is a golden brown. Cool completely befor cutting into 1 1/2 inch squares.
