10 large potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
|
|
12 garlic cloves, peeled and halved
|
|
2 1/2 tablespoons salt - divided use
|
|
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
|
|
1 cup whipping cream
|
|

|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
|

Instructions |
|
|
Place potatoes, garlic and 2 tablespoons salt in
large saucepan; add enough water to cover. Bring to
boil; reduce heat.
|

Cover and simmer until potatoes are tender; drain.
Transfer potatoes and garlic to mixing bowl; mash.
|
|
|
Add butter, cream and remaining salt; beat until
smooth.
