     Peanut Butter and Grape Jelly Bars

Ingredients
3 c. flour
2 T. sugar
1 1/2 t. baking powder
2 sticks butter, softened
1 egg
1 c. concord grape jelly (alt 1 1-2 - 2 c)
10 oz. peanut butter chips (alt 1 - 1 1-2 c p butter)
 

Instructions
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix flour, sugar and baking powder in a large bowl. Blend in butter to make crumbs the size of peas. Set asid 1-1/2 cups of the crumb mixture; beat egg into the remainder.
Press egg-crumb mixture firmly into a greased 13 by 9 inch baking pan; spread grape jelly over crust. Sprinkle peanut butter chips over jelly; top with reserved crumb mixture.
Bake until crust turns golden brown, about 25 min. Cool on -wire rack about 30 min. Cut into squares.
Alternate - mix egg into better before separating. Separate batter in half, not as noted. Use more jelly. Melt p butter in microwave and drizzle over jelly. Then add crumbled topping.
