     Trish's Christmas Lasagna

Category   Entrees - Maindishes
Sub Category   Holiday Dish

Ingredients
9 hard boiled eggs
2 large jars sliced mushrooms
4 large whole milk mozzarella shredded, fresh is best.
32 oz. whole milk Ricotta cheese
2 boxes regular lasagna noodles or 2 boxes no-bake noodles
Trish's Christmas Sauce
Trish's Christmas Meatballs

Instructions
Cook 2 packages of lasagna noodles in large pot with slated water for 5 minutes or until noodles are just able to bend without breaking. DO NOT OVERCOOK THE NOODLES!
Drain noodles but do not pour out of pan just keep adding cold water and pour out. Leave in water. If using no-bake noodles eliminate steps above and continue with recipe below. Meanwhile have someone mash the eggs and meatballs and grate the cheese.
Spread a thin layer of sauce in the bottom of a lasagna pan. Layer bottom with noodles. Add a layer of crushed meatballs, sprinkle with chopped egg, sprinkle with sliced mushrooms, dollop about 10 to 12 dollops of ricotta (half-golf ball size pieces), sprinkle liberally with mozzarella and add a thin layer of sauce on top of mozzarella. Repeat until you get to the last layer omitting ricotta on the last layer.
Cover with tin foil and bake at 400 degrees for about an hour or until heated through. Remove foil and cook for about 15-20 until top is gold n' bubbly. Remove from oven and let rest for at least 20 minutes.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with a side of sauce and crusty Italian bread.
