     Buttermilk Yeast Rolls

Ingredients
2 3/4 cup flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp soda
1 pkg dry active yeast
1/4 cup lukewarm water
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1 cup lukewarm butter milk
3 tbsp melted butter
 

Instructions
Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and soda into a medium sized mixing bowl. Turn yeast into lukewarm water and let stand 10 minutes. Then stir in sugar and luckewarm buttermilk. Beat in half the flour mixture and then the melted butter. Now stir in all but 2 tablespoons of remaining flour.
Turn out onto lightly floured board or pastry cloth. Cover dough with bowl and let rise 10 minutes. Knead dough for 10 minutes.
Again, cover with bowl and let rest 20 minutes. Shape into rolls and place in greased pans. COver and let rise in warm place until double (about 1 1/4 hours). Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
