Put the pasta water on. If using a whole tomato dice it and dice the roasted red pepper. Cook the spaghetti. Meanwhile in a frying pan add 1/3 c olive oil and add garlic and salt and pepper. Saute. Drain the spaghetti and add to the frying pan. Toss with the olive oil and add the capers, roasted red pepper and tuna. Toss. Remove from heat and add the grated parmesan cheese. Toss. Add the fresh tomatoes and fresh basil. Salt and pepper to taste.
