Heat smoker to 350°. Brush salmon with oil, then sprinkle with rub. Place in an aluminum pan and smoke 10 min. While fish is cooking make glaze. Combine vinegar sauce, apricot preserves, and onion in a processor until pureed. Pour into a pan and bring to almost a boil. Remove from heat. Remove salmon, flip over and return to smoker 5 min. Remove and glaze with sauce.
