Peel and shred potatoes and rinse in cold water. Drain thoroughly, place in a bowl.Add egg,flour,salt, and garlic salt; mix well. In a skillet over med. heat, heat 1/4 inch oil. Pour batter by 1/4 cup fulls into hot oil. Fry 5 to 6 min. on each side or until pancakes are tender and golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
