     Vegetable Makhanwala (a creamy curry dish)

Ingredients
150g french beans (sliced)
150g cauliflower (sliced)
150g carrots (sliced)
1 teacup green peas
4 large potatoes (sliced)
4 large onions (sliced)
0.5 teacup fresh cream
3 tablespoons flour
2 teacups milk
 
2 teaspoons tomato ketchup
3 tablespoons clarified butter (ghee)
1 teaspoon chilli powder
Ghee for frying

Instructions
a) Cut the vegetables into long, diagonal strips. b) Deep fry the sliced potatoes in vanaspati.
a) Boil the french beans, carrots, cauliflower and green peas. Drain and keep aside. b) Mix the cream, flour, milk and tomato ketchup in a separate vessel.
a) Put the butter in a vessel and fry the sliced onions until pale in colour. b) Add the prepared sauce into the boiled vegetable and potatoes. Then add salt and chilli powder. Lower heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
a) Add more milk if the mixture is very thick.
Serving Suggestions
This is great to serve to guests coming over as they most probably would have never eaten this in a restaurant.
