In a large bowl combine raw hamburger meat, seasoning, eggs, 1/2 cup tomato sauce, and beer.
In a pan on stove, sautee finely diced onion, garlic and bell pepper in a butter until soft and onions are clear. Set aside to cool. Toast 3 slices of bread and dice finely.
Mix onion and pepper mixture into meat mixture and add toasted bread. Spread into 9 inch round pan or meatloaf pan. Lay strips of bacon across the top of the meatloaf in slices that will easily be cut. If in a retangular meatloaf pan cut bacon to lay across short ways so each cut slice will have a slice of bacon when serving.
Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Add remaining tomato sauce and continue to cook for 15 more minutes. Edges will bubble and juice runs clear when ready.
