     Chocolate Pound Cake

Ingredients
3 cups sifted flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup butter, softened
3 cups sugar
1 1/2 tbsp vanilla
3 eggs
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 3/4 cups milk
 

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and set aside. Beat butter and sugar together until fluffy. Add vanilla. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add cocoa. Add milk alternately with sifted dry ingredients in 3 additions, beating well after each addition. Pour into 10 inch bundt pan that has been sprayed with non-stick spray.
Bake for 1 hour 20 minutes. Invert onto wire rack to cool. Drizzle confectioner's frosting over top. Drizzle Allegretti Glaze over Confectioner's Frosting.
Confectioner's frosting- Blend 1 1/2 cups sifter powcered sugar with about 5 tsp water until smooth and well blended.
Allegretti Glaze- Square unsweetened chocolate with 1/4 tsp vegetable shortening in microwave for 10 seconds, remove and stir and heat additional 10 seconds.
