     Chocolate Barfi

Ingredients
3 tsp cocoa powder
3/4 cup maida
3/4 cup kaju/walnuts/pista (chopped)
4-1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup water
3-1/2 cups condensed milk
6 tsp ghee
 

Instructions
Heat a heavy bottomed skillet and add ghee to it. Fry the maida and the cocoa powder in the ghee. On another burner prepare sugar syrup by dissolving the sugar in the water in a deep vessel. Dissolve one spoon of cocoa powder in condensed milk, heated on a low flame in a pan and keep aside.
Mix both the maida-cocoa powder mix and the sugar syrup. Once the mixture becomes a little thicker add the kaju and mix properly. When the mixture begins to froth, pour 3/4th portion of it into a greased plate.
Now mix the dissolved cocoa powder and the rest of mixture. Spread this as a top layer on the mixture spread on the greased plate. Allow it to cool and cut into squares.
