Ingredients
1 C ric
1 C macaroni noodles
1 C lentils
1 onion
2 - 3 cloves garlic
2 C tomato sauce
oil
salt and pepper
 

Instructions
Cook rice and macaroni according to instructions. Simmer lentils with 2 C of water in covered pot for 35-40 minutes.
Saute onion and garlic in oil until translucent. Add tomato sauce.
Combine everything.
Variations, try adding chickpeas, lemon, or cumin-coriander. Traditionally also topped with fried onions.
