Pour rice into greased 9 x 13 inch glass pan. In a large bowl, combine onion soup, oil and soya sauce. Add enough water to make 4 cups. Pour the liquid over the rice, add mushrooms, green onions and chicken. Stir lightly with a fork. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour (it cooks faster in the 9 x 13 pan than a casserole dish)
