Put yeast in pint container, add water & 1 tsp sugar, scald milk, pour over salt, sugar & butter, cool to lukewarm. Add yeast mixture. Stir in flour, 1 c at a time until dough is soft enough to knead. Let rise 15 minutes in warm place with cover (towel). Place dough on floured board & knead 20 minutes. Make into rolls, let rise 15 minutes in warm place. Bake at 400 degrees 15 to 20 minutes.
