In a medium bowl or on waxed paper, sift together the flour, soda and salt. In a large bowl cream the shortening and peanut butter. Gradually add the sugars and continue to cream.
add the unbeaten egg, milk and vanilla. Beat well blending in all ingredients. Shape by rounded teaspoon into balls.
Bake in a 375 degree oven for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and place a Hershey's Kiss (unwrapped, of course!) in the center of each cookie. Return to the oven and bake for 2-5 minutes longer.
