Mix meat with eggs, salt, thyme, pepper, garlic, chives & parsley. Mix well. Shape into 8 medium sized balls. Roll balls in flour, set aside. Heat butter & oil together in frying pan. Add meatballs, brown on all sides, cook 15 minutes. Place cooked meatballs on heated platter. Turn heat on high, add tomatoes to pan, cut side down, saute for 1 minute. Arrange on platter beside meatballs. Another of my mother-in-laws Irene Brown. I always got her recipes & this is a real good one.
