Heat oven to 350. Mix meat, 11/3 c instant potatoes -dry-, egg, salt, pepper, onion, ketchup & milk. Spread into ungreased pie pan 9 in. & bake uncovered 35 to 40 minutes. Bake remaining potatoes (for four) by directions on box. Cover meat with potatoes, sprinkle with cheese, bake 3 to 4 minutes until cheese is melted. My friend Debbie Wilyard & I first made this in home ec in the 9th grade & it was a favorite of her kids & me.
