Microwave a scrubbed baking potato, wrapped in paper towel, 5 minutes on high. Fry the bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towel and cut up. Add peppers and onions to skillet and cook until softened. Drain on paper towel.
Peel and dice the potato and add to the corn. Add the cream to a chowder consistency. Add the peppers, onion and bacon. Stir well. Add cheddar cheese and stir in. Season to taste.
