     PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE

Category   Desserts - Breads
Sub Category   None

Ingredients
3 cups sugar
1/2 jar peanut butter (smooth or crunchy, I prefer smooth)
3/4 c evaporated
3/4 c homogenized milk

Instructions
Mix all ingredients in large (iron) skillet Mix & cook over medium heat, stirring, or it will scorch. Cook several minutes. Drop spoonful into cold water to check when done. The candy should be firm enough to be lifted from water in your fingers. You may notice sugaring around edges of skillet. Remove from heat, add 1 stick margarine, beat with mixer until it begins to harden. Pour into 2 buttered plates. Cut before completely cool. This is a trial-&-error recipe. If it hardens too quickly add some milk & cook a little longer. If it doesn't harden, cook some more. Just about everyone likes this. I always make sure Lester gets some. If you happen to be around when she's making this it is really good to eat while it is still warm Lori
