     SNICKERDOODLES

Ingredients
1 c soft shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 c & 2 tbsp sugar
2 3/4 c sifted flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
2 3/4 c sifted flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
 

Instructions
Mix together shortening, 1 1/2 c sugar & eggs. Sift together flour, tartar, baking soda & salt -add to creamed mixture. Roll dough into balls the size of walnuts. Roll in mixture of cinnamon & remaining sugar. Place balls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake @ 400 degrees 8 -10 minutes. Cool.
