Ingredients
1 stemmed minced fresh jalepeno pepper...or 2 if you like it really hot
2 c. cored, seeded and chopped plum tomatoes
1/2 to 1 c. chopped fresh cilantro
1 c. chopped/minced green onions...use green tips, too
1/2 to1 teaspoon finely minced garlic
1/4 c. (I add a little more to taste and use key limes) freshly squeezed lime juice
salt to taste (I just use about 1 T.)
1 Avocado chopped, if desired
 

Instructions
This has always been a favorite of mine with tortilla chips, flautas, tacos, scrambled eggs or anything that needs some flair! I especially love this dip/salsa with the "hint of lime" tortilla chips and a frozen Margarita! Pico de Gallo translates in Spanish to little salad. Stir together, cover and refrigerate for at least two hours. I sometimes add chopped avocados to the mixture.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with any frito or tortilla chip, I prefer the lime tostidos.
