Combine sugar, evaporated milk, and butter in medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until mixture comes to a full rolling boil. Remove from heat; add chocolate pieces, stirring until melted. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda and salt; mix until smooth. Spread in greased 9 inch square pan. bake at 325 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from edges of pan. Cool, cut into squares.
