     Virginia Eggnog

Ingredients
12 eggs, separated
1 1/2 cups sugar
4/5 quart whiskey
1 quart light cream
Jamaica rum to taste (about 6 ounces)
1 pint heavy crream
 

Instructions
Use electric mixer or very strong arm to beat egg yolks unti lemon-yellow. Beat in 1 cup sugar. Pour whiskey over egg yolks slowly with beater at slowest speed. Whiskey will cook eggs so DO go slowly to avoid lumps. Add light cream. Fold in egg whites that have been beaten stiff with 1/2 cup sugar. Add rum. Whip cream and add before serving.
Serving Suggestions
This mixture will keep for quite a ling time refrigerated but loses some of its volume.
