     scalloped potatoes

Ingredients
4 cups thinly sliced potatoes (boiled for 10 minutes)
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated cheese for top
 

Instructions
in small saucepan, melt butter and stir in flour until blended. add milk and stir with a whisk until smooth. season with salt.
cook on low until sauce thickens. remove from heat and stir in cheese.
place 1/2 the potatoes in a 9 x 9 casserole dish and top with 1/2 the sauce. repeat layers, top with cheese and bake at 350F for 30 minutes.
